Today we meet Clare Vasey, Tip A Skip’s Customer Service Manager:
Describe yourself in one word:
What does a usual day look like for you?
I’m usually uploading Waste Transfer Notes, raising invoices, processing call stats, monitoring calls for quality and answering incoming queries!
What do you love about your job most?
I love that every day is slightly different and the support we all provide to one another
Why is proper waste management so important?
There is always going to be a requirement for waste disposal. The UK were originally warned that we would run out of landfill by 2018 however this of course has not happened. This has to be due to both homes and companies becoming “greener”.
There are also some shocking statistics around waste ending up in the world oceans. 100,000 marine mammals are killed by plastics incorrectly disposed of every year and with non-recyclable material being replaced with improved materials it means these are now being recycled as opposed to going to landfill.
My team love me because:
I’m very much a team player, I like to think I’m very approachable and they can ask me anything.
My team hate me because:
I’m constantly singing and I’m no Whitney Houston!
